The Książ By Night tour takes place regularly, usually on Fridays or Saturdays. Forthcoming dates for individual tourists (only Polish language) are announced toward the end of each month. Organized groups (Polish and foreign language) are invited to contact the Marketing Division to arrange a date.

Książ By Night Routes

The spooky season has begun! Pluck up your courage, put on your boldest colours and make your way to Książ’s dark, enchanted castle. After night has fallen, you’ll discover its history.
We don’t promise that you’ll be completely safe.
We don’t promise that you won’t break out into a cold sweat.
We don’t promise that some creature’s hand, not quite dead, won’t touch you.
But we do promise that you’ll never forget!

The Książ By Night tour may take place only with a guide.

The Książ By Night tour is approximately 90 minutes of adventure, where visitors, with a guide, make their way along the castle’s eerie corridors. Protected only by lantern light, you will pass through Książ’s most fascinating chambers, including some that are not featured in the day tour, such as the former cellars of the Hochberg family. The passage takes place in an atmosphere of mystery, deepened by the little-known and frightening stories that you will hear, involving the castle. You’ll be kept in suspense, wondering what is to come. In the presence of dark and magical spirits, you’ll witness scenes that will chill your blood – will you dare to keep moving forward, with all the lights out?

PLEASE NOTE:
- The Książ By Night tour, for individuals, takes place only in Polish, at scheduled times and dates. These may be found under the bookmark Terminy Nocnego Zwiedzania.
- The number of places in each group is limited.
- The Książ By Night tour is a special service, organized for adults, so there are no reduced prices. Tickets for the Książ By Night tour do not include admission to the Walbrzych Palm House.
- During the Książ By Night tour, you will be taken to places that are not accessible during the day, including places with rather inconvenient architectural features such as tunnels, narrow staircases, and terraces. For this reason, we ask visitors to wear suitable footwear (please do not wear high heels) and warm clothing, suitable for the outdoors. Please see all IMPORTANT INFORMATION.

The Książ By Night tour may take place only with a guide.

The Książ By Night group tour will provide a welcome diversion for any gathering or event. This spooky adventure will not only be memorable for all who take part, but provide fine entertainment - for all those who are brave enough! The route is the same as that planned for individual tourists, and takes about 90 minutes. We show your guests places in the castle that are normally inaccessible, such as the Hochbergs' former kitchens, on the fifth floor. At the customer's request, it is possible to change the route (for example, to shorten it), to add "extreme" horror, or to make a thematic change, according to a given idea.

PLEASE NOTE:
- The Ksiaz By Night tour is possible for groups only after prior notice (tel.: +48 74 66 43 827; e-mail: marketing@ksiaz.walbrzych.pl), and can be organized on the date that the customer chooses, provided that this does not conflict with other castle events.
- The tour may take place in Polish, English, German, Russian and Czech.
- The maximum size of an organized group is 30 people.
- Where this number exceeds 30, it is possible to organize several Książ By Night groups, touring the castle at the same time but each in a different place, 15 to 20 minutes apart.

The special edition of the Książ By Night tour is a themed event, connected with special occasions and dates, such as The Valentine's tour, "Love Unto The Grave"; or the particularly chilling "Friday the 13th" Książ By Night tour. These may be scheduled for individual visitors, or for groups with prior notice. Reservations and ticket purchase may not be made by telephone. It is necessary to purchase tickets through system online , or at ticket offices during opening hours.

The Książ By Night tour may take place only with a guide.

Where this number exceeds 35, it is possible to organize several Ksiaz By Night groups, touring the castle at the same time but each in a different place, 15 to 20 minutes apart.

All those who take part in the Książ By Night tour must accept that this kind of tour may arouse strong feelings. In view of this, it is not recommended for those who are emotionally sensitive, nor for those with cardiovascular- or respiratory-related disorders or difficulties.

During the Książ By Night tour, you will be taken to places that are not accessible during the day, including places with rather inconvenient architectural features such as tunnels, narrow staircases, and terraces. For this reason, we ask visitors to wear suitable footwear ( please do not wear high heels ) and warm clothing, suitable for the outdoors.

Książ Castle may bar from the Książ By Night tour, or remove from its premises, anyone who appears unable to behave properly due to the visible influence of alcohol or other intoxicants.

Książ By Night Tour Regulations

Visiting Książ Castle at night, meaning after darkness falls and after the opening hours of the castle. The Książ By Night Tour is a special service intended for adults, and so provisions for reduced-price tickets do not apply. Participants in the Książ By Night tour are subject to the Regulations for visiting Książ Castle and the Palm House, and in particular § 3, point10, 9; § 2, point 13, 14 and 15, § 5; § 6. (the choosen extract of the regulations may be downloaded below).
The purchase of a ticket signifies that the bearer has familiarized himself/herself with Książ By Night Tour Regulations, and is obliged to observe their provisions.
