Blechnum gibbum

In its native habitat, this is a large fern with a scaly, rhizome-shaped stem up to 1 m. In height. At its top it grows a “plumage” of single, feather-like leaves. It is cultivated as a potted and greenhouse plant, though it is relatively difficult to grow.
