Chamaedorea elegans

In its natural setting, this palm reaches a height of three metres, with delicate, paired leaves. The two topmost leaves are joined together at the base. In cultivation, the leaves grow to a length of 30 to 60 cm. The flowers are dioecious, delicate and gathered in feathery, lightly nodding inflorescences.
