The Arched Rooms Complex is situated in the charming south wing, with a sweeping view of the dense forest that surrounds the castle, as well as the Pełnicza River Canyon. The complex consists of two main areas whose character is marked by events in the castle’s past. With its exquisitely beautiful, richly decorated fireplace, the room lends a noble character to every event that takes place there.
Within the Arched Rooms Complex is an large, rectangular main hall (93 square metres), as well as a smaller space, ideal for coffee breaks or a buffet. The main Arched Room opens on to a small and charming lookout terrace, where visitors may take some fresh air and savour the view of the beautiful nature that surrounds them.
The room’s facilities may include, at the client’s request, a projector and screen, speakers, wireless microphones, flip charts with marker pens and a laptop computer. Coat racks may also be provided, or the main cloak room in the castle may be used. The area also has access to wireless internet. A variety of high-quality events may be arranged in the complex.
History tells us that in this very complex of rooms was the office of the last master of Książ Castle, Hans Heinrich XV von Hochberg. He was known for his lavish tastes, so it is not surprising that he chose such a richly decorated space in which to work. It is worth adding that the entrance to the hall faces a window overlooking the interior Black Courtyard, unusually beautiful and the setting of numerous legends involving ghosts.
